Old and new
Here are a couple of pencil color drawings I made ... one recent and one older one ...

Both are beautiful drawings. Yes, its difficult to get the true result with coloured pencils. Black & white pencil drawings sometimes do wonders.

So pretty!! The pastel effect is lovely! You know, I am thinking that both of them - the butterfly and the bird are lively creatures, yet the subdued pastel is looking so appealing and complimenting their true characters. Your sence of color and detail is splendid! Its lovely!

I am working on another pencil sketch these days. I'll upload it when and if it gets completed. Meanwhile I can post the pics of myself making that sketch :-)) (my husband was experimenting with the camera while i was doing that sketch :-) )

I love birds and butterflies and your drawings are so lovely (must have your permission to "steal" the design on the butterfly) for my next crazy patchwork project.
